Young golfer getting ready for major tournament

The rising star maintains impressive social media audience

Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known cheerleaders when she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous international courses and often competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she revealed.

She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically suggested to play and relax," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on running the country, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in just three tournaments this year and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

But she can receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.

"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He suggested me to compete, relax, and go with the flow."

She'll challenge several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials stated that her participation helps introduce golf to different demographics, especially reaching younger fans.

The young star boasts millions of followers and has started her own fashion and living brand.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
